LITTLE TAKES OVER 2018 RANKINGS

Following a state championship season at Orlando Christian Prep and a strong start to the travel team season with adidas sponsored 1 Family, junior Nassir Little has earned the top spot in our UPDATED FH50 2018 RANKINGS.

Improved ball skills and more consistent perimeter shooting, to go along with elite level positional size and athleticism makes Little the most complete prospect in the 2018 class. Likely currently on the outside looking in for most McDonald's All American Game voters and national Top 25 rankings, a couple more months of improvement should put him into those conversations.

STRONG AT THE TOP

Florida's 2018 class boasts 7 prospects who should be in the conversation for the high level accolades mentioned above. History shows that very few players from outside the consensus national Top 30 rankings earn those types of honors but players like Little, Elijah Weaver, Rechon Black, Luguentz Dort should join Emmitt Williams, Silvio De Sousa and Antwann Jones on the last round of most ballots.

SIMONS IN UNIQUE POSITION

Louisville pledge Anfernee Simons has used up his 4 years of high school eligibility and will be considered a post-graduate student next fall by the NCAA Eligibility Center and most national scouting services. While we decided to include Simons in our 2018 rankings, partly because of his age in comparison to the rest of the class, a post-graduate student is not eligible for selection to most national All-Star games.

HIGH RISERS

While there has been plenty of shuffling in our updated rankings, a few members of the 2018 class made notable moves up the list. Since returning from a knee injury halfway through the high school season, few players have impressed more than Gibbs shooting guard David Pierce. The sharp shooting junior checks in at #19. Coming off of an impressive weekend in Atlanta in the Adidas Gauntlet, Southwest Florida Christian's Caleb Catto is on the minds of college coaches at all levels and moves into the 30th spot in our rankings.
