PLAYER PROFILE: BRYCE WORKMAN

Sickles forward Bryce Workman is one of the top available post players in the state's 2018 class and plenty of college coaches have taken notice of the 6'8 senior. After a high school season that saw him lead the Gryphons to a Class 8A state championship, Loyola (MD), James Madison, USF and UCF are all in pursuit of Workman.

"Recruiting is going well. I am planning on taking my visits during the winter," said Workman when asked about his decision process.

On the court, he is working to expand his game. "Bryce has been working to improve his ball handling and outside shooting to balance his low post scoring," said first year Head Coach Michael Weaving who took over at Sickles for Renaldo Garcia, now at Berkeley Prep. Workman noted the 4 big men that Weaving will have to work with this season and his ability to play multiple positions in the front court.

The Gryphons will be one of the favorites in 8A to return to Lakeland and Workman has set his sights on another run in late February. "My goals are to win the district, region, and a state championship again."
