updating this page throughout the season. We will also be adding specific information regarding each player as well. We provide these rankings
to allow exposure for athletes that might not get noticed.
Class of 2008
- Ridge Graham
Guard/Forward | 6'-4"
Martin County High School (MCHS)
A great player when he brings his basketball attitude. He has great potential. His offense continues to overshadow his defensive effort as he can literally score at will.
He likes to move toward the perimeter. His medium range game works well when he catches it at the elbow. It's almost a guaranteed two points, either a made shot or free throws.
- Octavious Raymond
Forward | 6'-6"
Port St. Lucie High School (PSL)
Octavious can find the short corner and knows what to do with the ball. A good rebounder that will shoot the occasional
jump shot. He looks more comfortable from 8 feet and in. He might be considered undersized for the next level. But, his game
continues to get better. He will be the anchor for Port St. Lucie this season.
- Simon Cummings
Point Guard | 5'-10"
Fort Pierce Central High School (FPCHS)
Simon looks good with the ball in his hands. He has a knack for finding the basket and can take you off the dribble or shoot the mid-range
jumper. A solid defender that has upped his game from last season. Several mid-major Division I schools are showing interest in Simon as of this writing.
- Nick Tennell
Guard | 6'-0"
John Carroll High School (JCHS)
A great kid that shows great athleticism and desire. He works hard on his game. His ball handling and decision making continues to improve.
He will be relied upon to balance scoring for the Golden Rams this season.
- Ryan Power
Point Guard | 6'-0"
South Fork High School (SFHS)
A hard working point guard that has no problem passing the ball. His outside shot and 3-pointer are more than reliable.
A solid defender, athletic, and won't step down from anyone, big or small with a hard-nosed work ethic. Several mid-major Division I and
Division II programs are showing some interest in him.
- Jim Leffew
Point Guard | 5'-6"
Vero Beach High School (VBHS)
Another hard working guard that has no problem passing the ball. Jim has a great shot and a high basketball IQ. He is a tough player
and won't back down from any challenge. A great looking point guard. He has several quality Division III programs to pick from for next year.
- LeShawn Henderson
Guard/Forward | 6'-3"
Okeechobee High School (OHS)
Henderson started for varsity as a freshman and continues to work on his outside shot. The 3-pointer is slowly becoming part of his repertoire.
He can flat jump out of the gym and plays solid defense. He is averaging nearly a double-double of points and rebounds.
He has great foot speed and his ball handling is getting better.
- Timmy Williams
Guard/Forward | 6'-3"
Okeechobee High School (OHS)
A lefty with a nose for the ball. He is a great addition for coach Jon Enrico. He can step up and hit the occasional 3 pointer,
plays solid defense, and will attack the basket when necessary. He is a big reason to help Okeechobee's starting lineup to be so good.
He keeps everything together and the free throws will start dropping for this young man.
Class of 2009
- Shemiye McLendon
Point Guard | 6'-2"
Vero Beach High School (VBHS)
Wow, Shemiye continues to get better! Everything runs in slow motion for him. This is usually the sign of on elite guard.
He can direct the team when necessary, stroke the "3", attack the basket, and play an equally tough defense that Coach Chuck
Loewendick demands. Most improved player in the area over the summer. He even managed to grow several inches over the past 6 months.
Many colleges will be coming to look for him.
- Quamain Foreman
Guard/Forward | 6'-2"
Martin County High School (MCHS)
"Q" made a late summer change from South Fork to Martin County. He will be a welcome addition to the rebounding efforts
for the Tigers. He is already back to averaging a double-double a game. His outside game is getting better as he can hit the "3" when needed. His midrange game and ball handling looks good and his rebounding is impressive.
- William Wilson
Point guard | 5'-10"
Sebastian River High School (SRHS)
William has a good overall game. He shows control at the point and has a smooth jump shot. His 3 point shot is coming along well. A good
summer season helped add yet more confidence to his game. A good floor general that distributes the ball well.
- David Jeune
Forward | 6'-6"
Okeechobee High School (OHS)
Long and lean, David shows great potential. Several mid-major Division I programs have already been in to see him in practice.
His defensive game once was the dominant part of his game. However, he has worked hard on developing his mid-range game. Coach
Enrico will continue to get David prepared for the college level. He will be impressive over the next 2 years.
- Matt Hogan
Forward | 6'-4"
Jensen Beach High School (JBHS)
Matt shows some good moves from the short corner as well as from 15 feet and in. He is a hard worker and has improved his game. He will be the
offensive post that Jensen Beach needs for this year. A brand new starting lineup for the Falcons may yield some early season
troubles teamwise. Look for Hogan to lead Jensen Beach in scoring through most of the year.
- Pascal Permis
Forward | 6'-8"
South Fork High School (SFHS)
Raw around the edges, "Prime" is ready to learn and improve his game. He has only been playing organized basketball for a year and has
made great strides. His offensive game is coming along nicely. His defensive specialty for the moment is blocking shots with his 6'10" wing span.
- Ronnie Nelson
Wing Guard | 6'-0"
Martin County High School (MCHS)
Ronnie hits the "3" well and handles his defensive assignments thanks to his athleticism. Martin County has a solid starting lineup that includes
Nelson at the 2 spot. The starting quarterback for the football team. He may be better at football but he plays with the type of confidence
coaches look for in players.
- Luke Walters
Guard | 6'-2"
John Carroll High School (JCHS)
The outside threat for the Rams. Luke continues to impress. He has gained some height over the past several seasons which
has proven to help with his accurate repertoire from downtown. An integral part of the offense and he could prove to be
John Carroll's leading scorer come the end of this season.
- Eric Harnden
Point guard | 5'-9"
Jensen Beach High School (JBHS)
A variety of injuries has slowed Eric's progress over the past year and a half. But, he should get back into it.
He should be able to help Jensen as a 2nd point guard. His being left handed helps him get to the basket. The injuries have slowed him as he works
on getting back his jump shot and some confidence on the floor.
