New year, new start
The 2011 school year is underway for most all of the state. So, the opportunity has come to get serious and really clean up the message board. All posts with no valid responses (aka SPAM) in the last 30 days have beebn removed. I do a daily cleaning to keep the boards clean and fresh. So, post away!
Congrats to Austin Rivers being selected as the #1 player in the nation for the Class of 2011 by Rivals and Jerry Meyer!
Three Central FL Seniors Headed to Maine
The University of Maine Machias has signed three Central Florida seniors to play for their NAIA program this season. Apopka guard Will Lewis, University combo guard Zach Pope and Ocoee forward Hampton Mack will join the Clippers this fall.Jenkins Signs Late
6'3 wing Brice Jenkins (Summit Christian) signed with Jacksonville State. The versatile forward averaged 14.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game for the Saints during the 2009-10 season.Yes, Rivers is that good.
National websites such as Scout and Rivals have come out with their post-summer national rankings. While Rivers has been a top five player in the class since his sophomore year after raining 46 points on a team on ESPN at the City of Palms, it looked doubtful that he could replace Michael Gilchrist at the top of the rankings.
Those doubts have been erased as Rivals has named Rivers the top prospect in
the 2011 class. Analyst Jerry Meyer basis his rankings not on college
potential but on NBA potential. If you follow this link to video of Rivers
participating in the Boost 24 Elite Camp, you well clearly understand why
Rivals has Rivers at the top.

Rivers continues the tradition of superb guards from Florida over the last few year, joining Nick Calathes, Kenny Boynton, and Brandon Knight as sure-fire McDonald All-Americans
Frazier to Florida
2012 6'4 wing Michael Frazier of Tampa Plant has committed to the University of Florida. Playing up in age group this summer with Florida Elite 17U, Frazier parlayed his successful spring and summer into a high national ranking with Scout, ESPN, and others.
"Michael
Frazier is one of the most skilled players we have ever had in our program and
what makes him special is his character and work ethic", says Florida
Elite Program Director Conrad Foss. "
